Description
Alder cones have a look and feel as pine cones, but are much smaller than your typical pine cone, at about 1 centimeter in lengh. They create a natural forest floor look in a terrarium. In an aquarium, they provide food for shrimp and fry in the form of naturally releasing tannins.
